From management of building construction to a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction and even becoming the 8th president of the university, his existence has inspired others.
Computer whiz Dr. Bradford Sims was first exposed to computer programming at a young age when he received the Commodore 64 on his birthday. Moving further along to study and obtain a bachelor’s degree in building construction management at Purdue University, full-time industrial construction project manager was Dr Bradford Sims.
His technical education enabled him not only to manage projects but also aid in the design of the computer networks in every firm he was a part of. Later on, Dr Bradford Sims came back to academia and obtained a Master of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at Purdue.
Dr Bradford Sims held a succession of roles in higher education prior to coming to Capitol to be inaugurated as the 8th president of the university in 2017. Since his inauguration, Dr Bradford Sims has endeavored to integrate his knowledge of technology and construction by coming with the highly esteemed Critical Infrastructure program of study.
Dr Bradford Sims embodies most of the industry executives in pursuing partnerships and long-term agreements that are equally good for the university and the partner organization. He thinks that once employed, the students must take time to learn what each individual employee on their staff does so they can carry out his or her job and about the larger picture of organizational action so that they know how their staff’s contribution adds up to firm success.
